Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/2701The study of feeding ecology of fishes in streams that have been affected by riparian forest removal, has a great importance for the improvement of knowledge about neotropical species, because they are under great anthropogenic stresses and still necessitate farther studies. We evaluated aspects of feeding ecology of Crenuchus spirulus in two areas in Occidental Amazon: (1) in 10 streams with preserved riparian forest, within the National Forest (FLONA) of Caxiuanã and (2) in 10 streams situated outside of de FLONA of Caxiuanã. Data samplings were made in drought period, on November of 2012, when the spicemens were collected in patches of 150 meters, by two collectors during six hours in each point, using dip net. We also evaluated the physical habitat in each stream to produce a Physical Habitat Index (PHI). The stomach contents of 614 specimens were used for data analysis, the identified feeding items were divided in 15 categories, six autochthonous and nine allochthonous. The results provided by Feeding Index (IAi) and by SIMPER analysis showed that the autochthonous items were the most important for the species diet. We also noted that the items larvae of Diptera and Decapoda were the most relevant items to fishes from the within of FLONA and the items Diptera (larvae) and Ephemeroptera (larvae) as the most important items for streams located outside of the FLONA. The NMDS cluster evinced segregation between the points where the riparian forest was observed and the points where some type of disturb had already been suffered. This data corroborated with the results acquired by the (Detrended Correspondence Analysis) DCA, that shows a discrimination between this two groups and further evince a relation among the points of inside of the FLONA and the higher values of PHI, on the other hand, it also showed a correlation between the points sampled outside of FLONA and the lowers values of PHI.Acesso AbertoIctiologia – AmazôniaIctiofaunaEcologia alimentarVegetação ripáriaIgarapéCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::OCEANOGRAFIA::OCEANOGRAFIA BIOLOGICAInfluência de diferentes categorias de conservação do hábitat na dieta de Crenuchus Spilurus (Characidae – Characiformes) em Igarapés na Amazônia ParaenseTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
