Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9906This work presents as its object of study the non-formal educational practices developed in the Semear Project, a social initiative carried out by the Assembly of God in Bragança-PA, in the Maranhãozinho community. It sought to answer the problem expressed in the following question: In what aspects can the non-formal education activities of the Semear Project contribute to the civic education of children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability in the Maranhãozinho community, municipality of Bragança-PA? The investigation adopted a qualitative approach based on bibliographic research, observation, and semi-structured interviews with the project’s educators, with the data analyzed from a phenomenological perspective. It was found that the educational activities promoted by the Project are characterized as school reinforcement, playfulness, discussion circles, text production, the inclusion of social values in accordance with biblical principles, and the valuing of the contextual realities of the learners. The analyses showed that the proposed activities go beyond school content, assisting in socialization, strengthening local bonds, expanding ethical values, and building citizenship.
