Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9106The present study aimed to carry out a technological prospection of the main trends and innovations in green energy technologies, focusing on identifying solutions with potential application in the municipality of Salinópolis, Pará. The research was conducted through bibliometric and patent analyses using the Web of Science (WoS), Patentscope (WIPO), and the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) databases. Scientific publications and patent filings related to four major renewable energy sources—solar, wind, marine, and biomass—were examined. The results showed that countries such as China and India lead global scientific and technological production in the field of sustainable energy, driven by governmental investments and innovation-oriented policies. At the local level, it was found that Salinópolis presents natural conditions favorable to green energy generation, including high solar irradiation, constant winds, and an abundance of organic waste, reinforcing its potential for sustainable development. The analyzed patents highlight solutions that can be adapted to the regional reality, capable of diversifying the energy matrix and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
