Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9607This study aims to measure the variation in cement consumption in two different types of external coating mortars that have a recommended variation in the cement:aggregate ratio between 1:5 and 1:8. For this purpose, two different mortar formulations were made with proportions of 1:6 and 1:7 (cement:natural sand). In addition, the composition of the mortars included the use of a plasticizing additive (additive mortar - AA) and household detergent (mortar with detergent - AD). The mortars were characterized in the plastic (consistency, density, water retention and air incorporation) and hardened (mass density, capillary and total water absorption, flexural and compressive tensile strength) states. For performance analysis, the permeability test was performed using the pipe method. The results showed that despite the difference in the proportions of cement: aggregate and the use of detergent in the composition of the coating mortars, all presented high workability/plasticity with cohesion of their particles.
