Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8274Over the years, the concept of family has undergone significant changes in its understanding, due to changes in moral and social values, also impacting romantic relationships, which are currently based on mutual respect and the financial autonomy of partners. The evolution of Brazilian legislation has allowed for a broader scope of family law, with emphasis on the recognition of family entities without the need to form a marriage, with couples simply having the will to form a family in their public, continuous and lasting relationship, a relationship known as a stable union. However, in the modern world of the 21st century, there has been a significant increase in the number of couples who, concerned about the legal implications of a stable union in the event of a separation, have entered into dating contracts with the purpose of restricting the relationship to a dating relationship only, thus eliminating the concept of a stable union and, consequently, protecting the individual assets acquired during the relationship. Like this, the problem question that guides this research would be about the possibility of decharacterizing the stable union through the celebration of a contractual instrument, with the purpose of discussing the legal invalidity of the dating contract when used with the objective of removing the animus of family, restricting the legal effects of the relationship only to dating. To this end, we sought to conduct a study on the institutes of family law and the application of the dating contract, using bibliographical research as a methodology, based on materials published in books, articles and monographs that deal with the subject.
