Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9927This paper proposes a discussion on the ways of life and childhoods of children living in the fishing community of Perimirim, located in the municipality of Augusto Corrêa, Pará. The main focus aimed to understand how children's experiences are constituted in the fishing community of Perimirim. The methodology was anchored on the assumptions of qualitative research. We carried out a bibliographical survey of academic productions dealing with the theme and field research with five children aged between 8 and 12 years old, as well as conversation circles and drawing workshops with seventeen children from the local school. The results of this immersion reveal that childhoods in Perimirim are deeply marked by the relationship with the traditional territory and artisanal fishing. Traditional family coastal knowledge is reworked in a playful way by the children, manifesting itself vividly in their peer cultures and in their graphic productions, where elements such as mangroves, boats, and fishing shacks assume centrality.
