In this context, organic fertilization stands out as a sustainable alternative, especially when utilizing locally available inputs. Thus, the general objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of organic composts derived from Açaí (Euterpe oleracea Mart.), Murumuru (Astrocaryum murumuru Mart.), and Tucumã (Astrocaryum aculeatum G.Mey; synonym: Astrocaryum tucuma Mart.) on the early development of iceberg lettuce seedlings in Abaetetuba, Pará (PA). This was assessed by analyzing germination percentage, leaf count, and the fresh mass of the shoot and root systems. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse at the Federal University of Pará, located in the municipality of Abaetetuba, PA. The research was quantitative in nature and followed the principles of a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatments and four replicates. The treatments consisted of the following combinations: T1. 50% Murumuru substrate + 50% forest soil; T2. 50% Tucumã substrate + 50% forest soil; T3. 50% Açaí substrate + 50% forest soil; T4. 100% Murumuru substrate; T5. 100% Tucumã substrate; and T6. 100% Açaí substrate. The variables evaluated were: Germination Rate (GR), Number of Leaves (NL), Shoot Fresh Mass (SFM), and Root Fresh Mass (RFM). Data analysis concluded that treatments T1, T2, and T3 yielded better mean values compared to treatments T4, T5, and T6 regarding the GR and NL variables. However, when analyzing the influence of these same treatments on shoot fresh mass (MFPA) and root fresh mass (MFR), the data indicate the absence of a statistically significant difference.
