Thus, this research, through the analysis of Saramago's autobiographical diary, makes it possible to observe how he interpreted Jorge Amado's inferences about the political-social organization in Brazil, dialoguing with the Portuguese reality, about social alienation and class consciousness. The methodology used is bibliographical and critical-reflexive. The theoretical support for this research includes: Lejeune (2005) and Arfuch (2010) who deal with the genres diary and autobiography. Freddo (1994) talks about the discourse of alienation in organizations, Mandarino (2022) discusses, based on Karl Marx, alienation and social class, among other subjects, which are verified in this study.Acesso AbertoPolíticaRelações Brasil-PortugalSociedadePoliticsBrazil-Portugal relationsSocietyCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES::LETRAS::LITERATURA BRASILEIRAQuestões político-sociais em Brasil e Portugal através de correspondências entre José Saramago e Jorge Amado em Cadernos de Lanzarote I (1997/1994): alienação social e consciência de classePolitical and social issues in Brazil and Portugal through correspondence between José Saramago and Jorge Amado in Cadernos de Lanzarote I (1997/1994): social alienation and class consciousnessTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - ArtigoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
