Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9399This coursework presents a didactic sequence developed for teaching mechanics (energy transformations and hydrostatics) in Small Hydroelectric Power Plants (SHPs), integrating these concepts with a STS (Science, Technology, Society, and Environment) approach. The proposal includes four lessons that articulate theory and practice through interactive activities, virtual and experimental simulations, also exploring the environmental and social impacts of SHPs. The practical approach, using Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICTs), such as the Physics Education Technology (PhET) simulator, facilitates the understanding of physical phenomena such as pressure, buoyancy, and energy transformation. The STS methodology seeks to develop cognitive and investigative skills in students, allowing for meaningful and contextualized learning.
