Women in vulnerable contexts during pregnancy are prone to symptomatic exacerbations, leading to anxiety and depression, which may increase the likelihood of unfavorable outcomes for both mother and baby. General Objective: To assess the mental health of pregnant women receiving care in Primary Health Care in Altamira-PA. Methodology: The study is cross-sectional, quantitative, and descriptive. The sample included 153 pregnant women over the age of 18 who signed the Informed Consent Form (ICF), from 12 Family Health Units in Altamira. A specific questionnaire and the SRQ-20 were used to screen for mental disorders. The data were statistically analyzed to identify associations between mental distress and the studied variables. Results: The research revealed that 52.94% had a score ≥ 7 on the SRQ-20, with the most associated risk factors being: fear during pregnancy, a history of previous mental illness, experiencing some form of violence, or having had a recent traumatic event. Conclusion: There is a high prevalence of probable mental health issues during pregnancy in the municipality, with risk factors contributing to this distress.Acesso AbertoSaúde mentalGestaçãoPré-natalAltamiraMental healthPregnancyPrenatal careCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::MEDICINA::CLINICA MEDICA::GINECOLOGIA E OBSTETRICIAGestação e saúde mental: um estudo na atenção primáriaTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - MonografiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
