Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/3717The present work analyzes the Rural Education course and graduates of this degree at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Campus de Abaetetuba and thus talks about the historical process of rural education in Brazil, regarding the processes of struggles in the perspective that the field has an education that encompasses its demands. It discusses how the Countryside Education course started to gain as a graduation in the State of Pará, specifically at UFPA - Campus de Abaetetuba, aimed primarily at training subjects from the countryside, waters and forests. In the investigation process, 55 (fifty-five) graduates from the course of the classes from 2011 to 2015 participated. In general, the objective of this work is to know the possibilities and contributions to the field of academic training and teacher preparation for graduates. The other objectives seek to identify approaches to the historical process of the Rural Education course; investigate how occupations and insertions of graduates from different years; and we analyzed what their real difficulties were during the course and after they graduated. As a theoretical basis, studies related to the history of rural education in Brazil by authors such as: Silva (2017), Leite (1999), Souza (2006) and others were used. For the development of this research, authors who address the process of creating the Countryside Education Course in the State of Pará were also used, such as: Hage (2015), Molina (2014), Pereira (2019) etc, as well as studies on the employability of graduates addressed by: Brito and Molina (2016), Sopelsa et al (2012), Arroyo (2007) among others. The research is based on qualitative methodology and for data collection it uses a semi-structured questionnaire and data released from a quantitative approach.
