Acesso em:.http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/1759The Guajará Bay is a tidal estuary region, influenced by biological, hydrodynamic, morphological and sedimentary fundamental to its evolution and also has several port terminals, along with studies in this area that are relevant. From that this work aims to contribute to the preparation of maps of sediments distributions and the relationship with the dynamics of the studied area, Sotave and Cotijuba channel that have a depth of approximately 22 and 32 meters respectively. The particle size was very heterogeneous, ranging from grains >2 to <0.063 mm, and, from the average, higher proportions in silt in the Sotave channel and fine sand in the Cotijuba channel, but the considerable amount of sand is largely samples, however the amount of sand is considerable in most samples. Textural classes were identified: sand, sandy silt, silt clay, silty sand and silt, and the class predominated in the deeper regions, channel, and classes in the finest surroundings. The organic matter content showed 0.76% higherin Sotave channel, which may be due to the amount of fine sediments in this channel be greaterthan the Cotijuba channel, while the lowest were found in the organic matter channel, where hydrodynamics ismore intense and energetic enough to remove fine material that is able to easily adsorb organic matter. The grains analyzed by morphoscopy suggested that the sandy sediments are immature in the sedimentary cycle. The Hydrodynamic was intense and classified by high and very high hydrodynamic, and may involve a predominance of sand in most samples and low amount of organic matter mainly in the channelAcesso AbertoGranulometriaCanal da SotaveCanal de CotijubaMapas de distribuição de sedimentosCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::OCEANOGRAFIAContribuições para elaboração de cartas sedimentalógicas da foz do rio amazonas com enfoque na baía do guajará (Canais da Sotave e Cotijuba), Belém-ParáTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
