Methods: This is an epidemiological, retrospective, descriptive study, with a quantitative approach on the epidemiological profile of congenital anomalies in the Xingu region, in period from 2012 to 2022. Data collection was carried out in the Live Birth Information System (SINASC); from the database of the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), in June 2024. Results: 327 live births with some congenital anomaly were identified; 30% congenital musculoskeletal deformation. Maternal age range between 20-34 years (41%); marital status in consensual union (43%); education from 8 to 11 years (44%); pregnancy between 37 and 41 weeks (63%), singleton (98%); 7 or more prenatal consultations; inadequate prenatal care (27%); birth in hospital (98%); cesarean section (63%); weight over 2500g (72%); Appropriate Apgar scores at the 1st and 5th minutes; brown color (77%); male (52%). Conclusion: Congenital anomalies demonstrated a constant incidence over 10 years, and maternal and newborn characteristics contribute to monitoring data in the system. However, there is underreporting of cases. Therefore, it is essential to investigate and resolve obstacles that interfere with a more complete capture of the frequency of anomalies present in the state and improvement of notification instruments.
