Among the initiatives for archival diffusion and heritage education undertaken by the Archive, the “Connecting Archives” project stands out. This project not only organizes activities within the institution but also promotes initiatives in various municipalities in Pará. The objective of this research is to present the archival diffusion and heritage education activities developed by the “Connecting Archives” project in the municipalities of Bragança, Barcarena, Cametá, Muaná, and Curuçá, as well as to identify their contributions to the promotion and democratization of archives. To achieve this, a descriptive case study methodology was employed, based on bibliographic and documentary research, alongside data collection from the Instagram social media platform of the Public Archive of the State of Pará and the administration of a structured questionnaire with its current director. As a result, it was observed that the project promoted a series of activities in the analyzed municipalities, including exhibitions, lectures, workshops, round tables, discussion circles, and guided visits. Throughout these initiatives, a total of 11 activities were carried out between 2022 and 2023, involving participation from local community members, students, and individuals interested in archives and local history. The exhibitions selected significant historical documents relevant to each municipality, while the lectures, round tables, discussion circles, and workshops enriched knowledge about document management, heritage preservation, and heritage education.
