The study is based on the understanding that the knowledge produced by traditional fishing communities constitutes an important reference for the construction of contextualized and intercultural curricula. The research aimed to analyze the artifacts of cast net fishing and the knowledge produced by fishermen and fisherwomen, identifying their potential for the proposition of curricular practices in Youth and Adult Education. Methodologically, the investigation was grounded in a qualitative approach from the perspective of New Cultural History, articulating field research, bibliographic research, and the use of semi-structured interviews, photographic records, and observation of the sociocultural contexts of the community. The research participants were one fisherwoman and one fisherman from Vila dos Pescadores, whose narratives made it possible to understand the learning processes related to fishing, knowledge about tides, fishing territories, artifacts used in cast net fishing, and the transformations that have occurred over time. The results showed that cast net fishing involves a set of knowledge, practices, and objects that constitute the material culture of the community and are transmitted across generations through everyday experiences. It was found that this knowledge has significant pedagogical potential to support intercultural curricula in Youth and Adult Education, contributing to the appreciation of local identities, collective memory, and the ways of life of traditional Amazonian populations. It is concluded that the inclusion of cast net fishing knowledge in the YAE curriculum strengthens contextualized and critical educational processes committed to the sociocultural realities of the subjects of the researched community.Acesso AbertoCultura MaterialPesca de TarrafaCurrículo InterculturalEducação de Jovens e AdultosAmazônia BragantinaMaterial CultureCast Net FishingIntercultural CurriculumYouth and Adult EducationBragantina AmazonCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::EDUCACAOCultura material da pesca de tarrafa no currículo intercultural da Educação de Jovens e Adultos na Vila dos Pescadores, em Bragança, estado do Pará, BrasilTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - ArtigoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
