Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8112This study investigated the construction of mechanisms to promote self-regulation of learning in children in early childhood education, with an emphasis on activities mediated by the teacher. The research included a literature review and a field survey, with data collection through open interviews. The participant was a teacher with experience in early childhood education, who applied strategies to promote self-regulation of learning. The results showed that the activities promoted allowed for the identification of the strengths and weaknesses of the children in their abilities to plan, execute, and evaluate. Improvement in the class's self-regulatory capacities was observed. The activities developed with a final purpose were identified as capable of promoting self-regulation, positively impacting the development of children in early childhood education.
