This representation is associated with the evolutionary success of anurans and this contributes to the diversity of these animals on Earth. In addition, this study is important due to the scarcity of work on an anurofauna from the marajoara region. Considering that Brazil is one of the most rich countries of the world in diversity of anurans, it is necessary to know the distribution and wealth of this group in the wild. The goal of this study was to do an inventory of the anuran species from the urban area of the municipality of Breves - Marajó Island, State of Pará. The samples were carried out from April to October 2019. To collect anurans, the methods of collection used were active search with limited time during the night, occasional encounters and pitfall traps. After sampling, for laboratory procedures and identification of anuran, samples were sent to the Laboratory of Natural Sciences of the Federal University of Pará, Campus Marajó-Breves. A total of 289 specimens and 23 species were recorded during the study. The family Hylidae was the most representative in number of species. However, in the number of specimens the most abundant was Leptodactylydae followed by Microhylidae and then Hylidae. This study made the first record of the species Scarthyla goinorum for Marajó Island. The Breves anuran rarefaction curve did not stabilize, meaning the species richness record was even higher than what was recorded in this research.
