As Morin (2000) highlights, the hyper specialization and the fragmentation of scientific knowledges guide teaching models that lead to the memorization and repetition, thus it is necessary to rethink education so as it promotes the dialogue of knowledges. One of the possibilities that allow the dialogue of knowledges is utilizing the Role-Playing Game (RPG) as a teaching strategy, because it is characterized as a way that may converse with scientific knowledges. Based in these arguments, this investigation had as its objective to develop an RPG proposal for teaching ecological relationships as part of a didactic sequence structured in the Freirean thematic approach proposed by Delizoicov, Angotti and Pernambuco (2002). To treat the research data, I used the content analysis (Bardin, 2011) as tool for the interpretation of the emerging knowledges. The didactic sequence was carried out along with a 25-student class of the 3rd year of high school in a public school in Ananindeua/PA and was guided by the Three Pedagogical Moments: 1) Initial Problematization (IP), 2) Organization of Knowledge (OK) and 3) Articulation of Knowledge (AK). The IP allowed the mapping of previous knowledge of the students about ecological relationships as well as their mistaken understandings. The OK consisted of two steps: in the first one we played the RPG that was produced and in the second students identified the ecological relationships present in the story of the RPG. Finally, the AK consisted in the production of a fictional world where they created a society, taking into consideration the presence of ecological relationships in the description of the narrative.
