Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9383The aim of this study was to assess the perception of residents in the city of Cametá-PA regarding the disposal of electronic waste and to identify current practices and the barriers faced in managing this waste. The research used a qualitative and quantitative approach, with questionnaires administered to 75 residents and interviews with representatives from SEMMA and SETTOB. The results revealed a high level of awareness of the environmental and health impacts associated with the improper disposal of electronic waste, although 41% of residents still dispose of this waste in the regular garbage. The analysis highlighted the lack of adequate collection infrastructure and the need for robust educational programs to improve disposal practices.
