Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8557The respective research aims to reflect on the role of the literacy teacher in the acquisition of written code by children in the early years of literacy and to point out theoretical and methodological paths that seek to assist them in this initial learning process. To support this study, we used the studies of Emília Ferreiro and Ana Teberosky (1999), based on the psychogenetic studies developed by Piaget. Other theorists such as Vygotsky (2007), Magda Soares (2020, 2016) and Mendonça and Mendonça (2011) are part of the theoretical discussion. To this end, a bibliographic research was carried out, complemented by a fieldwork conducted in a 2nd -grade class of elementary school, with the aim of collecting data on the levels of initial learning of written language. For this, images of children’s writing produced by the students were collected, which served as concrete examples of the psychogenetic levels of writing.
