Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7710The present Course Conclusion Paper aimed to analyze the use of stories and narratives in the teaching of mathematics through pedagogical practices of teachers of the early years of elementary school, at E.M.E.F. Getúlio Vargas. This research proposed to answer the following main question: How, in the pedagogical practices of teachers in the early years of elementary school, is used stories and narratives told for the teaching of mathematics? The guiding questions linked to this research problem were: What are the contributions of the Brazilian Mathematical Education Movement to the improvement of pedagogical practice in mathematics teaching in the early years of elementary school? How have teachers included stories and narratives in the teaching of mathematics as a way to favor the development of logical-mathematical thinking, as well as the learning of mathematics contents by students in the early years of elementary school? For its implementation, initially a bibliographical research was carried out. Subsequently, the qualitative approach was chosen, and the type of research was the case study in a primary school in the urban area of the municipality of Melgaço-PA. The data collection techniques were semi-structured observation and interview, applied with 01 pedagogical coordinator is 04 teachers. The results of the research indicate that the use of storytelling as a mathematical teaching method is little explored in the classes.
