The research involves building an experimental setup that simulates the Z-axis of a CNC, allowing for variation in the distance between the pyrometer and the heat source, as well as data collection for calibration of the proposed mathematical model. The project includes the development of data acquisition software for monitoring and controlling the experiment, alongside a linear regression model to correct the temperature measured by the pyrometer based on readings from a thermocouple. Although the final validation was not possible due to operational issues with the CNC, the results indicate that the proposed correction method is feasible, offering a low-cost solution for thermal monitoring.
