Two widely referenced combinations from the literature were analyzed: Yang+Rossi and Stepanoff+Rossi. These models enable the determination of the best efficiency point (BEP) of the pump and its hydraulic behavior in off design regimes. The adopted methodology involved formulating dimensionless relationships to construct performance curves and validating them against available experimental data, covering different specific speed ranges. The Yang+Rossi combination showed more consistent performance and was applied in a real case study in a district metered area (DMA) located in Tucuruí, Pará, Brazil. The selected PAT was integrated into EPANET 2.2 softwares, considering variable speed operation for 18 hours per day. The simulation indicated that the PAT maintained pressure control within regulatory limits, operating efficiently even under flow conditions outside the design point. The generated characteristic curve enabled the prediction of efficiency as a function of rotational speed, with optimized performance during peak demand periods. The average power generated by the PAT was 3.44 kW, resulting in an annual energy recovery of 22,620 kWh.Acesso AbertoModelos de prediçãoRecuperação de energiaBomba como turbinaRedes de distribuição de águaVálvulas redutoras de pressãoPredictive modelsPump as turbineWater distribution networksEnergy recoveryPressure reducing valvesCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA SANITARIA::SANEAMENTO BASICO::TECNICAS DE ABASTECIMENTO DA AGUACNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA CIVIL::ENGENHARIA HIDRAULICA::HIDRAULICAAvaliação de combinações de modelos preditivos de bombas funcionando como turbinas em condições off-design em redes de abastecimento de águaTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - MonografiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
