Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7941This final paper aims to characterize the restoration techniques: prospecting of paintings, mimetic reintegration, assembly and chromatic reintegration applied to a capital of the Basilica Sanctuary of Nazareth, located in the capital of the state of Pará, Belém. For this purpose, bibliographical research and reports from experienced professionals in the area of restoration involved in the work were used. These experts shared information about the procedures applied in the work, which allowed a comparative analysis with other interventions carried out in Brazil, from which it was possible to consider the contributions of civil construction theorists who research and work in the field of restoration. It is concluded that the techniques highlighted are commonly used, but not exactly in the same way, and that most bibliographical reviews make it clear that restoration techniques are not standardized because each work, each artistic detail present in the details of historical buildings, has singularities that are not always repeated. However, it can be seen that in special cases, there are similarities that come close to what can be called standardization.
