Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8213The present work seeks to contribute to the questions about the CTS (Science Technology Society) CTSA (Science Technology Society and Environment) approach in science teaching in the final years of elementary school from a survey carried out with teachers from the Américo Brasil school, in the municipality from Oeiras do Pará. The relevance of the research is directly linked to my path as a student of the degree course in rural education, based on experiences lived in schools during internship disciplines. The research was carried out in 2021, and it consists of a qualitative approach, which sought to answer the following problem: how can the CTS/CTSA approach in science teaching enable more meaningful learning in rural schools? The objective is to show the importance of the CTS/CTSA approach in science teaching in rural schools, as well as to reflect on issues related to Science, technology, society and environment and its importance in the context of rural schools, as well as to discuss the CTS/CTSA approach from the reality and ways of life of rural subjects. To carry out the research, a bibliographic study was carried out, through the reading of several productions by scholars such as: AULER, (2007), MORTIMER (2002), SANTOS (2007, 2008) etc., who have been conducting research, studies and productions related to CTS/CTSA approach in Science teaching.).
