Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9745This work is based on a study about Couratari guianensis Aubl, a wood tree of commercial interest with a range of studies aimed at its conservation by the fact that it is considered a species vulnerable to extinction and studies on its secondary metabolites, as well as its insecticidal action were not performed. The objective of this work was to evaluate the insecticidal effect of aqueous extracts of leaves and bark of C. guianensis on Drosophila melanogaster. The extracts were obtained through the dry and fresh materials of the leaves and bark. Each bioassay was composed of the mixture of dietary extracts of flies in seven treatments: control group (2 mL of culture medium for flies and distilled water), three concentrations for leaf (25%, 50% and 100%) with medium culture and three bark concentrations (25%, 50% and 100%). In each treatment, test tubes containing 20 larvae of D. melanogaster were used as the research method. The parameters analyzed in each bioassay were the survival rate and development. The results obtained in the tests were submitted to statistical analysis using the Shapiro-Wilk method, for the analysis of diversion from normality of the data. The Levene method was used to measure the homoscedasticity of variances. The data that presented approximately normal distribution and homoscedasticity were subjected to the hypothesis tests using analysis of variance (ANOVA), with Tukey's tests for the pair-to-pair comparisons. Kruskal-Wallis medians were also used in cases where ANOVA assumptions were not met, as were Mann-Whitney tests.
