Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9098Well control represents one of the most critical stages in the oil and gas industry, as operational failures during this process can lead to severe events such as kicks and blowouts, resulting in significant economic losses, environmental damage, and threats to human life. Given its relevance, this study carried out a technological prospection focused on the main equipment, methods, and innovations related to well control, aiming to identify emerging trends and the global panorama of technological development. The research adopted a bibliographic and patent-based approach, both qualitative and quantitative, using the Scopus and Web of Science databases for scientific articles and the INPI and Patentscope (WIPO) databases for patent analysis covering the period from 2010 to 2025. Filters were applied for language (Portuguese, English, and Spanish), document type (scientific articles), and relevance (minimum of seven citations). The results revealed a strong asymmetry between the national and international scenarios: while Patentscope recorded more than 8,500 patent filings, the INPI registered only 28, most of which were of foreign origin. In the scientific domain, a significant growth in research output was observed in countries such as China, the United States, and Russia, with emphasis on Chinese research institutions and major multinational companies in the sector, contrasting with Brazil’s still modest and irregular participation. Among the most recurrent technologies, real-time monitoring systems, advanced safety valves, and innovations in Blowout Preventers (BOPs) stand out. Furthermore, it was found that pressure control technologies applied to the cementing stage are widely used in the industry, particularly the CN114526053 and CN119553990 patents, identified as current references in well control. In summary, this work contributes to the mapping of studies related to well control, highlighting significant gaps and reinforcing the need for greater integration between academia, industry, and public policies to strengthen technological innovation in the oil and gas sector.Acesso AbertoControle de poçoProspecção tecnológicaManaged Pressure Drilling (MPD)Cimentação sob Pressão Gerenciada (MPC)Automação em engenharia de poçosWell controlTechnological prospectionManaged Pressure Cementing (MPC)Automation in well engineeringCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA QUIMICA::TECNOLOGIA QUIMICA::PETROLEO E PETROQUIMICAProspecção tecnológica de equipamentos de controle de poçoTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - MonografiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
