The research is based on a qualitative approach, with a bibliographic review of feminist theorists and articles produced by Brazilian academics, alongside an analysis of the legislation governing parental leave. The conclusion of this study argues that extending and equalizing parental leave periods, combined with foundational education that includes gender literacy, are essential steps in reducing gender inequality. Such measures would bring about a radical transformation, allowing women to move away from performing multiple labor shifts.
