Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8980This work consists of a study on the lexicon referring to birds known to the Tembé-Tenetehára people, inhabitants of the village of Sede, located in the Guamá region, in the Alto Rio Guamá Indigenous Territory, in the state of Pará, with the aim of collaborating as support material for teaching the Tembé indigenous language. The work began with a survey of the lexicon referring to birds, in partnership with the community, considering the importance of these animals in the cosmology and cultural practices of the Tembé people. Thus, this lexical survey, conducted through bibliographic and field research, resulted in the creation of an illustrated book aimed at children, with the aim of assisting in the teaching of the Tembé language. Theoretically, it is based on authors such as Biderman (1996), Krieger (2006), Isquerdo (2020), among others, as well as Rodrigues (1985;1986), Boudin (1966), Silva (2010) on the Tembé language; Wagley and Galvão (1961) and Gomes (2020) for understanding Tenetehára history and culture.
