For that, it was proposed as a general objective: To analyze the role of the Pedagogical School Coordinator and its contribution to the quality of the work of teachers through the dimension of continuing education in service. And as specific objectives: To identify what has been the work of pedagogical coordination through the dimension of continuing education with teachers; Check what teachers think about the work of the pedagogical coordinator and the importance of in-service training; and to analyze whether the continuing education of teachers in the Santa Maria do Pará teaching network was expanded and if this was related to the work of the pedagogical coordinator. As methodological procedures were given in a qualitative way, of the descriptive type, with the technique of data collection where the semi-structured interview was used, with 01 pedagogical coordinator and 02 teachers. The authors Aguiar (1991), Almeida (2006), Comenius (1976), Franco (2008), Freire (1982), Libâneo (2001/2004/2006/2010/2012), Nogueira (2018), Pimenta ), Saviani (2012), Silva (1999), Vasconcellos (2006), Veiga (1994/2002/2013), among others, were essential to know the identity construction of this professional.
