Trabalho de Curso (Bacharelado em História) - Faculdade de História, Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas, Universidade Federal do Pará, Belém, 2025. Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8615This research seeks to understand how male Grindr users construct their concepts of masculinity, which male figures are present on the app, and how these masculinities influence their homosociality. The theoretical framework is grounded in authors such as Judith Butler, who understands sex and gender as performative constructions, and Richard Miskolci, whose studies explore gender, sexuality, and homosexual interactions on social media. The analyses are based on a cross-section of different sources, such as a database compiled from user profiles, online form responses, and interviews. Finally, the research seeks to foster debates on identities, gender, and homosexual experiences in the virtual space, contributing to Brazilian historiography.
