Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10225This work's main objective is to analyze the relevance of a didactic sequence focused on colors for child development. The research was carried out in a Nursery class, with children aged 1 to 3, at a private daycare in the Pedreira neighborhood of Belém. The adopted methodology was participant field research with a qualitative approach. By immersing myself in the educational environment, I recorded the activities of a didactic sequence that integrated playful and educational proposals, with the goal of promoting children's cognitive, motor, and social development. A critical analysis of the activities showed that a didactic sequence, when planned with intention, connects theory and practice. The storytelling and collective painting revealed the importance of social interaction and mediation, fundamental concepts in Vygotsky (1991) work. Activities involving the manipulation and exploration of concrete materials highlighted the child's role as an active subject in the construction of their knowledge, in dialogue with Piaget (2013) assumptions. Finally, the circuit and activities requiring motor coordination reinforced Wallon (1968) view on the interconnectedness of cognitive, motor, and emotional development. As a result, it was found that the didactic sequence is an effective tool for holistic learning in Early Childhood Education. It provides an environment rich in challenges that cater to all dimensions of the child.
