Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10170This article aims to reflect on the importance of storytelling within a private Early Childhood Education setting in Belém, Pará, seeking to contribute to social, cognitive and cultural aspects, strengthening learning intentions in early childhood education. Seeking to emphasize its relevance as a means of socialization among children. This research involved direct participant observation, recreation, and interactions with the children through dialogue, drawings, and paintings, as well as bibliographical research focused on the topic in question. During this storytelling session, teachers and children participated in activities developed according to each theme, thus sharing their emotions, curiosities, and feelings. This is a qualitative field study (Minayo, 2010), with the participation of the researcher who experienced a formative journey provided by internships (I and II) in Early Childhood Education. The procedure investigative was developed with a class of children aged 3 to 5, where five storytelling activities were developed, each with a specific theme. As a theoretical framework, this work was based on authors such as Amarrilha (1999), Peruzzo (2011), Coelho (2009), Jolibert (1994), Abramovich (1995), Acasel (2020), Cardoso (2016) and Bettelheim (2009), Brito (2019).
