In this context, the podcast Mano a Mano, hosted by Mano Brown, stands out for fostering debates on racism, social inequality, culture, memory, and the lived experiences of Black people and those from the urban periphery, serving as a venue for the circulation of historically marginalized knowledge. This research aimed to analyze the oral mediation of ethnic-racial information in the Mano a Mano podcast and how this process contributes to the construction of Black and peripheral identities, the appropriation of information, and social emancipation. This is a qualitative, exploratory study conducted through documentary research. The corpus consisted of 15 podcast episodes published between September 2021 and May 2026, selected via purposive sampling. The analysis was grounded in Discourse Analysis, complemented by an examination of listener comments posted on Spotify. The results demonstrated that the podcast acts as a significant vehicle for the oral mediation of information, facilitating the circulation of knowledge regarding ethnic-racial relations, social memory, ancestry, and Black culture. Furthermore, the study found that the shared narratives foster information appropriation, identity strengthening, the valuing of knowledge from the periphery, and social emancipation, thereby contributing to the development of listeners' critical consciousness. It is concluded that Mano a Mano transcends the role of entertainment, establishing itself as a space for the democratization of information, the valuing of historically marginalized narratives, and the production of meaning within the field of Information Science.Acesso AbertoMediação oral da informaçãoOralidadePodcast Mano a ManoIdentidade negra; apropriação da informaçãoOral mediation of informationOralityBlack identityAppropriation of informationCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::CIENCIA DA INFORMACAO::BIBLIOTECONOMIAA mediação oral da informação para a construção da identidade negra: Um estudo do Podcast Mano a ManoTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - MonografiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
