Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9627This work presents a geotechnical case study conducted on Warehouse 10 of the Port of Belém, a century-old building located in an originally coastal area, which underwent regularization with dredged landfill from the Guajará River, contained by a port quay wall. The structure will undergo adaptation in its functionality and will become the new Belém International Waterway Terminal. The building's foundations were constructed of concrete blocks. The objective of the study was to analyze the occurrence of differential settlements through field monitoring, since the building showed significant signs of this phenomenon. The methodology adopted consisted of topographic surveys with an optical level, using metal pins as reference points, with four reading campaigns carried out over three months. The results indicated the occurrence of differential settlements with low average velocities during the monitored period, on the order of 5.345 µm/day, as well as angular distortions below the admissible limits. The highest distortion values found were 1/1314 on the ground floor and 1/2532 on the upper floor, in relation to the current level differences between the pillars, and 1/2909 for the settlements observed during the monitoring period.
