Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/2563The genus Psidium arouse growing interest due to presence of bioactive substances with great pharmacological potential and higher production of essential oils from various organs of the plant. In the present study, 14 specimens were collected among the species Psidium guineense (5), P. guajava (5), P. acutangulum (2), P. cattleianum (1) and P. riparium (1) in the cities of Belém, Curuçá, Monte Alegre and Santarém, all localized in the Pará state. The EO were obtained by hydrodistillation using Clevenger apparatus modified (3h), and the chemical composition was analyzed by Gas Cromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Essential oils yield varied from 0,36% to 1,45%, and the greater yield was obtained to specimen of P. cattleianum, collected in Monte Alegre. The main compounds identified among the species were the monoterpenes α-Pinene (0.1-34.0%), β-Pinene (0.1-20.7%), Limonene (0.2-37.2%), 1,8-Cineol (0,1-21,7%); and the sesquiterpenes α-Selinene (0.3-7.3%), β-Selinene (0.5-8.5%) α-Copaene (0.3-10.6%), β-Caryophyllene (0.1-33.3%), α-Humulene (0.4-8.5%), Germacrene D (11.0%), β-Bisabolene (0.2-9.2%), caryophyllene oxide (1.0-21.1%), β-Eudesmol (0.1-7.8%), α-Eudesmol (0.1-7.81%), Selin-11-en-4-α-ol (4.2-9.6%), epi-β-Bisabolol (12.9-15.1%); and the compounds Isobaeckeol (17,9%) and Isobaeckeolato de metila (15.3%). Statistical methods of multivariate analysis were applied to OEs constituents and resulted into formation of eight distinct groups among all samples, which were characterized by α-Pinene/ Limonene (group I), β-Caryophyllene (group II), β-Pinene/ Isobaeckeolato de metila (group III), β-Caryophyllene/ Limonene/ Selin-11-en-4-α-ol (group IV), Limonene/ 1,8-Cineol (group V), 1,8-Cineol/ epi-β-Bisabolol (group VI), β-Caryophyllene/ Germacrene D (group VII), Isobaeckeol/ β-caryophyllene (group VIII).
