This work aims to investigate the ecosystem services available on the island of Cotijuba. Field trips were carried out to carry out the socio-environmental description, apply questionnaires, conduct interviews and valuing with the Value Links methodology to aggregate a socio-environmental value to the activities performed by the members of the movement of Women of the islands of Belém (MMIB) and the inhabitants of the island. The island of Cotijuba presents as characteristic the presence of cliffs where the erosive processes occurring due to deforestation were observed, with the vegetation being a service of regulation that assists in the reduction of this erosive process. It was also observed in the field the activitiesperformed in other services such as fisheries and agriculture (provision), areas that attract animals (support), festivities that occur on the island (cultural) and tourism that point this relationship between man-nature. The service of provision was valued in the activities of agriculture, small livestock and extractivism. Valuation is important because it scales a basis for specific indemnitiation calculation on activities developed by a community. The importance of evaluating these services is to know the natural characteristics and processes in the use of coastal territory.
