Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8650Industrial environments impose severe conditions on reinforced concrete structures, accelerating deterioration and demanding inspection methodologies capable of quantifying, in a standardized manner, the structural integrity of assets. The GDE/UnB methodology, widely used in bridge and infrastructure assessments, presents limitations when applied to industrial contexts, such as non-intuitive interpretation of results and disregard for frequent low-intensity manifestations. In this context, the present study proposes the GIE (Structural Integrity Index) methodology, an adaptation of the GDE, incorporating adjustments to weighting and intensity factors, an inverted scale logic, and the expression of results in percentage values. The method was applied to a reinforced concrete industrial building used in bauxite processing, based on visual inspection and classification of pathological manifestations. The results indicated a global structural integrity index of 84.79%, classifying the structure at the “Good” level, with a recommendation for preventive maintenance and new visual inspection within one year.
