They are syndromes that usually occur together and establish a cause-and-effect relationship between them, giving rise to acute kidney injury associated with sepsis. This disease is a risk factor for the need for renal replacement therapy, in addition to reducing the quality of life and survival of patients, demonstrating its great deleterious potential and high complexity. Early recognition aims at adequate management of the disease in a timely manner, to promote a clinical outcome favorable to the maintenance of the patient's life. This study aims to characterize the clinical and epidemiological profile of individuals hospitalized with acute kidney injury associated with sepsis in a hospital in the Xingu region. This is a descriptive, retrospective and epidemiological study with a quantitative approach. The target population was patients with acute kidney injury associated with sepsis admitted to the Transamazônica Public Regional Hospital, in Altamira, Pará, between January and December 2023, which corresponded to 165 patients. The sample number was 18 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the majority were male, with a mean age of 62.5 years, 77.8% had multiple comorbidities, the most prevalent AKI stage was KDIGO 3.
