Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8424Considering the importance of the school in the process of child development, the work proposes to conceive the basic architectural project of a Montessori school in Belém/PA based on Biophilic Design that acts as a space to boost learning. For this, studies were carried out on the relevance of early childhood, as well as on the role of the school in it. In addition, the educational method developed by Maria Montessori was presented, which outlines a classroom profile ideal for the promotion of students' autonomy and freedom. In addition, the concept and the main parameters of Biophilic Design are explained. Then, three case studies are analyzed in order to find the parameters that are most repeated among them. The Tetris School project, in turn, adopted the Montessori Method as a pedagogical approach and Biophilic Design as a design approach. Studies of constraints, layout and volumetry were elaborated represented by illustrations that demonstrate the choices adopted throughout the process, in addition to technical drawings.
