Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10306The study focuses on the Incentives for Continuing Education within the career plans of elementary education teachers in municipalities within the Guajará Integration Region of Pará. Its objective is to analyze these incentives and their effects on the composition of teacher remuneration. Based on a document-based investigation, five teacher career plans were analyzed using three key incentive axes: 1) Leaves of absence for graduate studies (Specialization, Master's, Doctorate); 2) The provision of scholarships or financial aid for continuing education; 3) The duration of available leave and the conditions for taking Specialization, Master's, or Doctorate courses. The results showed certain advancements in continuing education incentive policies, with paid leaves of absence in nearly all municipalities having positive repercussions for teacher valorization. However, the leaves of absence for courses still have limitations, as in most municipalities they do not cover the full duration of the courses. Scholarships or financial aid for education are also not guaranteed in most cases. In municipalities where they are, they do not cover the entire duration of the qualifications or require the teacher to provide services to compensate for the time away as a form of reimbursement.
