Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/6048Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that primarily affects the lung, reaching about 80% of cases and is a disease that affects a significant portion of the population, especially in developing countries. Nutrition is an indispensable and determining fator for the acceleration and complete recovery of people with tuberculosis. This study aimed to investigate the nutritional aspects in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB). For the bibliographic survey, articles were searched in the PubMed and Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases, delimiting studies in the last 5 years and in the Portuguese, English and Spanish languages. The following descriptors were used: "Tuberculose Pulmonar" and "Nutrição" in the VHL and "Pulmonary Tuberculosis" and "Nutrition" in PubMed. The initial search for articles had a sample size of 1,130 studies and by applying the selection and inclusion criteria only 15 studies were included. The origin of the studies showed that populous and developing countries present more papers about PTB. The selected articles showed the relationship of PTB and nutrition, by the nutritional, immunological and metabolic status of these patients.
