Acesso em:https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7725This scientific paper aims to portray the deaf in the Afro-Brazilian terreiro of Pará, ratifying the importance of Libras as a tool for communication and exchange of knowledge in the sacred space. The problem would be how to transmit the knowledge and practices of Umbanda religious practices to the deaf when they enter a terreiro. The methodological process would be the bibliographic research of a qualitative approach that will allow the visualization of reports and observation of scientific productions that highlight the participation of the deaf in these spaces. Since there is a shortage of works about the participation of the deaf in Afro communities. The inclusion being worked on through debates and lectures in an Afro-Brazilian terreiro will promote greater awareness and sensitivity of the practitioners regarding the reception and insertion of the knowledge and practices of the religious rites for the deaf in the religious community.
