Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9355This work presents observations, analyzes and experiences from the internship carried out in the Teaching Internship I discipline of the Geography Degree Course at the Federal University of Pará/Campus Cametá. The internship took place at Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Santa Maria and aimed to observe teaching practice and the school environment. In the year before the internship, all schools were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, which forced the adoption of emergency remote teaching, hampering the learning of many students and presenting a new reality for many teachers. During the internship, the 6th, 7th and 9th year classes were observed, focusing on the Geography subject. The experience revealed challenges characteristic of public schools, such as poor infrastructure and lack of basic teaching resources. The internship highlighted the importance of more interactive methodologies and the need to motivate students.
