Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/4405The objective of this work is to demonstrate how the practice of logistics activities in the transportation and commercialization of the açaí (Euterpe Oleracea) in the city of Abaetetuba-Pará, make an analysis of the port structure of the city and also verify the viability of the implantation of a port of Receiving and storing açaí in the municipality, based on field research information and elaborated the layout in the SketchUp program which is its own software for creating 3D models in the computer. There is a lack of information and / or training on the part of producers and intermediaries in the fruit chain, compromising the quality and reliability of the fruit. It is also essential to talk about the importance of açaí in our region, as a culture, a typical food and mainly a source of income, because currently the açaí is used as an input by the food industry, pharmaceutical, cosmetics among others. It is necessary to formulate and propose an improved model of the fruit production process that comes from the floodplain or plantations regions along the rivers or houses, to the front of the city, which does not have a suitable port for the unloading or storage of the product and its final destination. Thus, with the model studied and suggested to facilitate transportation, minimize the time of the same and possible losses, contamination and damages. Thus, the proposal of this study is to use tools of analysis of the logistic system in the analysis of the agroindustrial chain of açaí from the islands of the city. A bibliographic survey, interviews with producers, brokers, shippers and employees of Abaetetuba municipal government, and data collected by SEBRAE (Brazilian Service of Support to Micro and Small Companies), Abaetetuba-Pará unit, Embrapa ( Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation) among other agencies such as the application of questionnaires.
