However, artefacts such a as liquids and gases my prejudicate the image of this tract. Those artefacts are minimalized by aministration of negative oral contrasts. Objective: It´s to avaliate the açai (Euterpe oleracea) as natural negative oral contrast im colangiograph MRI; to analyze the taste; to verify if açai is well accepted and tolerated by voluntaries and to graduate the improvement of the images at biliary tract after the açai administration. Methodology: Performed at Lobo Clinic, Belém-Pa, from march 2006 to july 2007; 50 colangiography by MRI were made using T2 sequences, one before and other after the administration of açai (E. oleracea) icecream (aproximatly 200 ml). Were analyzed the apearance, taste and the if the contrast was well acepted and tolerated. The images were classified as non signifiative, little significative and significative. Results: 90% of voluntaries classified as “good” the taste of contrast; açai (E. oleracea) was well acepted and tolarated by all voluntaries, Side effects did not occurred after açai administration; more than 65% of the images were selected as significant improvement after açai (E. oleracea) administration.
