Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/6251The study in question was carried out in a palm oil industry located in Pará, which is responsible for its raw material from the field to its arrival in the industry. Throughout the process there are some recurring problems in the transport of the fruit, such as: breakdown of trucks, high lead time, information of full boxes in the field, among others aiming to apply lean and quality tools to map the process in general, and try to reduce or eliminate the root causes making the process leaner and more dynamic. The research method consisted of the application of VSM, 5W1H, Kaizen, Ishikawa diagram and PDCA tools. The 5W1H tool guided the initial steps, the actions to be taken and the parties involved.
