Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10261This undergraduate thesis presents the results of a study aimed at analyzing the resistance and protagonism of quilombola women in the São Tomé de Bracinho do Icatu Quilombo, Baião-PA. In 2009, the community was officially recognized as a Quilombo Remnant. For this purpose, five women were interviewed to understand their lived realities, as well as the historical construction processes and the intersections of gender, class, and race-ethnicity, alongside the broader context of Brazilian social formation. The conceptual framework of the research engaged with works by Black authors such as Lélia Gonzalez, through the lens of the historical-dialectical materialism theories of Karl Marx. The research methodology was based on the development of an action-research essay inspired by Kurt Lewin's studies. This approach transcends theoretical review by addressing social problems, considering that a group must be analyzed in its totality rather than through a common denominator. The investigation relied on the rich oral narratives of the interviewees and on works that explore this theme, including those of Pinto, Rocha, Barbosa, among others, which provided the theoretical foundation for this study.
