Among the species with potential for this sector, Pyrrhulina brevis stands out due to its ornamental characteristics and commercial interest, although important gaps related to larval feeding management still remain. In this context, the present study aimed to evaluate the impact of delayed Artemia nauplii introduction during the larviculture of P. brevis. A completely randomized design consisting of four treatments and four replicates was used. Larvae were subjected to different delays in Artemia nauplii provision (0, 2, 4, and 6 days after the onset of exogenous feeding) and were subsequently fed until the end of the 20-day experimental period. At the end of the experiment, zootechnical performance and the point of no return (PNR) were evaluated. No significant differences were observed in total length, body weight, uniformity, or Fulton’s condition factor between larvae fed without delay and those subjected to a 2-day delay in Artemia nauplii provision (p > 0.05). However, delays of 4 days or longer resulted in complete larval mortality by the fifth day of the experiment. Larvae fed from the onset of exogenous feeding achieved a survival rate of 86.25%, significantly higher than the 20% survival recorded for larvae subjected to a 2-day delay (p < 0.05). The PNR was estimated at 2.69 days (9.69 days after hatching).
