Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9084The students of the 9th year of the municipality of Breves-PA have many difficulties in identifying and relating the contents of the classes of Physical and Biological Sciences (C.F. B), with their daily life. Mainly because of the lack of experimental activities, since these help the relationship between theory and practice. As a result, this study aimed to show that experimental activities can significantly improve student performance in the resolution of exercises, when it is applied after the lectures. Such a relation is extremely important for the development of knowledge about chemistry contents, since in theory they facilitate the progress and the elaboration of good relations between the knowledge developed in the school and the daily life of the students. This study was developed through the partnership between the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) Campus Marajó - Breves and the Municipal Center of Elementary Education Prof. Raimundo Pereira Pinheiro. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire was used, applied in the exploratory research and after the EA. After obtaining the data, it was necessary to make a detailed analysis of the same, in order to analyze the difference of correct answers and errors of the questions passed before and after the EA. The data was compiled in Microsoft Excel. Once the analysis was done, the results were transformed into statistical data, presented in graphs. The results of this research showed that the students obtained a significant improvement in their levels of knowledge after EC.
